Disclaimer: An eARC was provided via Harper Collins International in exchange for an honest review. The Thoughts, opinions & feelings expressed in the review are therefore, my own.

Thrillers are one of my favourite genres but finding one that hits all the right spots has lately been feeling like finding a needle in a stack of needles.

Someone's Listening was quite intriguing to have me hooked on it right from the start;
and I still finished it within a day of starting it.

Faith Finley, our protagonist is a practicing psychologist with her own radio show-SOMEONE'S LISTENING - but even at the start of the book it is clear that all is not well with her life.

Slowly, the reader starts to unravel the knotted threads of her life-

(a) Her husband is missing, though the cops clearly think that her husband has clearly done a" runner''; in spite of her claims of otherwise

(b) A patient has levelled serious allegations her-of misconduct-destroying her professional reputation as well as any harmonious relationship with her husband.

(c) She has been getting what are clearly threats using the words / phrases from her own book.

It doesn't take long for her to realise that she and her life is being systematically being destroyed - and she knows she is running out of time to find out who-for she knows that no one else is going to help her.

Like I said before, this book has an intriguing concept BUT was made wholly apathetic because of the protagonist-Faith is highly unlikeable character-she is selfish, impulsive and somehow comes off as cold and unsympathetic-contrasting highly with her profession of a psychologist.

And while I read the book within a day; it does not mean that it was because I was on pins and needles to find out what was going to happen-I just wanted to check if I had guessed the bad guy or not.

SPOILER ALERT: I did.
