A Dowry of Blood by S.T. Gibson

5.0

I read this in two days and really enjoyed it, though everyone that told me about the book misled me completely. When this book is marketed by word of mouth I have only ever had readers say "It's from the wives of Dracula's POV." If the author didn't put Dracula on the back I never would have even thought it was about the one and only.

That being said it is the story of the current two wives and husband of Dracula. Have Alexi in the mix was a nice addition and surprise because I've never heard anyone mention him.

I really appreciated this story as it dives into the world of emotional and mental manipulation and how easy it can be to make excuses for someone that you love because you're stuck within the box they've trapped you in. It was dark, twisting, emotional, and beautiful all at once. This is the first I've ever read of S. T. Gibson and I genuinely enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to reading more of her work.
