DNF 

I didn't like book one, but thought book two was okay, so I was excited to see that book three changed things up a bit. Instead of the story being told from a mortal perspective, we get one from a God (Sieh).....but nothing happens. The story kept trundling on, seemingly without a point. I have no idea where the story was headed, or even a why. Things were just happening with no direction, and I just wasn't interested. 

So far, this series seems to just be about Gods wanting to have sex with mortals....and I simply didn't care. Maybe this book unfolds into something greater, but I wasn't going to stick around for that to happen. 

Jemisin's prose is once again a highlight, but I can't say I am a fan of some narrative and general stylistic choices she makes in The Inheritance trilogy.
