THIS BOOK WAS SUPPOSED TO HEAL MY INNER CHILD. DID IT DO THAT? YES. DID IT ALSO MAKE ME CRY? ALSO YES.
I liked returning to this world, but hot dang, I didn't think I'd becrying at the end, because when they had to seperate, it was so sad! also, the amount of things that would be solved in Pixie Hollow if people would stop forgetting history is insane. And I also think they need to stop imbueing very importan history with magic, like, it doesn't matter who reads what, it should be common knowledge, and of they'd do that, PEOPLE WOULD STOP MESSING UP.
Anyways, I didn't hate this book, it was pretty good. Not lore accurate through a lot of parts, but whimsy and fun nonetheless.
The more I sit on this, the more it upsets me with the crazy amount of lore breaking, including the fallen star being how she was born, Milori's wings melting instead of ripping, and the whole story of another queen, because she is technically the only queen we are supposed to know about. The other thing that really bugs me is the side couple which is wholly unnecessary, especially considering the target audience is tweens to early teens.
Because of this I did lower my rating.
If I had no knowledge of Pixie Hollow prior to reading it, I would've liked it better for sure, but the messed up lore does irritate me more than I'd like to admit 🙂↕️🥲
