The Pianist: The Extraordinary Story Of One Man's Survival In Warsaw, 1939 45 by Władysław Szpilman
5.0
Szpilman's memoir is powerful and riveting; recounting his experiences as a Polish-Jew in Warsaw during the horrifying events of World War II. It is an incredibly honest and sombre account of his survival and despite the fact that Szpilman was a musician and not a writer, the book is very well written. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone.
