Bridge of Clay by Markus Zusak

2.0

Okey! Finally after DNF-ing it 2/3 times… I finished it.. It was rather painful!!

Don’t get me wrong!! I am one of those people who absolutely adored “The Book Thief by Markus Zusak”. I loved loved loved it!! I swear by this book! And whoever asks me about must reads, I always mention this book.

So imagine my excitement when another one book from this tremendous writer got out and I got the opportunity of reading it in exchange of an honest review from TimesReads?!! I was on the seventh sky!!!!

Sadly my excitement was short lived. Let me tell you why..

>> I really have no idea what was going on half the time (actually more than half the time :/ )

>> The flow is so confusing at times! It jumps from present to the brothers story to their parents story to different POVs… At one point it all made a huge mess in my head and I could not care less about what is going on.. I just wanted the story be over with!

>> Why this book is so long?!!! Especially when nothing really is going on.. I mean.. WHY?!! -_-

>> I get that its a book about grief (i think?!!).. but.. but… was that really necessary to be this monotonous??

I know my review sounds like a bit like ranting.. But I really wanted to love this book! I was so excited! 😦

My rating for this book is : 2/5 Stars.
