The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris
5.0
Another historical fiction I FALL IN LOVE with. The first 10 pages of the novel and I can feel myself absorbed into it as every word written comes real and vivid. The fact that it is based on true story makes is even fascinating. It's written very very beautifuly and is very alive. Lale, the main character, a Jewish man who was sent to concentration camp in Auschwitz, was given a job as a tattooist for the new people coming in the camp. The story starts there and it keeps engaging. Despite the harrowing story as (once again, it's based on true story) many violence occurred, the book is indeed very moving. I don't really highlight the love plot between Lale and Gita as the its synopsis mentioned. I rather love every little journey of Lale and the dynamics going on in the camp. 'To save one is to save the world.'
