I understand that because this is a shorter book the plot is going to move quickly but this was just all telling and no showing. It relied too much on the tropes and there was just no way to connect with the characters. Instead of telling us 50 times he’s protective, show it. And for the love of god, can we stop with the grown women calling their fathers “Daddy” 🤢 It’s infantilizing and creepy. Daddy kink? Yes, please. Calling your actual Dad Daddy? Gross.
