This book offers a humorous and refreshing perspective on the life of a junior doctor in the UK's National Health Service. I love the author's witty writing style, and I think the stories wouldn't be as funny if they were written by someone else.
Even though most of the story was comedic, it still gave a pretty good picture of the challenges faced by junior doctors. The writing seamlessly blended laughter with reflection, shedding light on how stressful and underpaid junior doctors are.
Additionally, the narration by the author himself made the stories funnier, because he was basically reading his diary and knew the right intonation for each moment. The British accent also enhanced the humor and authenticity of the stories.
In summary, it was a quick and immensely enjoyable read. Whether you're seeking humor, insight, or both, this book delivers on multiple fronts. It's also being made into a TV series, which I'm excited to watch after I finish reading the book 😉
