I have already told so many people about this book and told them it is a must read. A beautiful and haunting narrative of the stories of people who lived the terror of 9/11 in New York, at the Pentagon, and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. I was heartbroken by the failures of our systems and people on that tragic day, and uplifted by the goodness of humanity and that so many people experienced. I was 11 when America changed for all of us, so I don’t remember the details of the attacks, but this book was a lovely way to become more familiar with our history.
