Unexpected and intriguing.
Following a baby dragon with the mind of a human teenager was interesting. I did worry about the parallel minds, and partnering up with another baby animal kind of relieved that. Still, following toddlers who think like adults was funny. The side chapters with other characters were informative at times, but also didn't feel integral into the series—and least where the class is concerned. We'll see how that works out. I enjoyed this. The ending following the thoughts of mommy garm was sad, and since it was in the past it didn't feel relevant since it's at the end of the book instead of after those events as a chapter.
