Epileptic by David B.
5.0
Absolutely brilliant. There are millions of things that I totally adored in this book, including the art, of course. David B. had lived such an interesting life, and while he and his family were trying to understand his older brother's epilepsy, they had learned so many interesting things. They were talking to ghosts, meditating, practicing macrobiotics, and going for massage therapies. What brought the pain was the false hope and dreams of his brother getting better. It really shows how when one person in the family is sick, the whole family suffers from the same sickness. David B. perfectly illustrated how his brother's epilepsy had shaped his entire life and with an exquisite sequence of events. This book was so so sad yet so realistic and meaningful. This is a great graphic novel to devour. I definitely recommend this book if you haven't read it yet.
