Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood by Marjane Satrapi
4.0
read this for my summer reading club bingo challenge for my library. the prompt was read a banned or challenged book.
i knew a vague plot of this but didn’t really expect much. for such a quick and important read, it was amazing. there were times i felt. . . distant? but i believe that is due to both my ignorance and lack of education on this topic. the entire story is extremely enlightening and i will most likely read the second one.
