Victor Strong is a powerful vampire who is very successful in NYC. However, he is just beginning to show signs of "The Thirst", an insatiable thirst that vampires experience if they fail to find their fated mate. This changes one night when he scents a woman who he believes is his Bloodmate. Enter: Kimber. Kimber is a dragon on the run from creatures who are eager to capture the dragon for her magic. Victor and his best friend Flint, race against others to try to locate his Bloodmate before the bad guys get to her.

This was a flawless, smooth read where the unusual happens: bonded mates don't deny the bond! Both parties readily accepted their connection, and I couldn't have been happier. If you want a break from all the fated mate angst that usually comes with these novels, this is the series for you!
