while the writing is a little uneven, I really loved the story, characters and the world that Maniscalco created with Emilia, the Princes and Demons. I'm curious to see where the rest of trilogy will take Emilia following the bethrothal. Is she good? Are the bad guys really bad? Do such binaries exist
