Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling

I love it more every time! This was the read-through with my youngest child, aged almost 9. She’s so excited to be in on the family comments about the series that pop up. It’s a great way to encourage reading this series. Hopefully it sparks a desire to be part of the larger “great conversation” with knowledge of other classic books in her knowledge bank.
Jim Kay’s illustrations, once again, made this leap from children’s pictures books to longer chapter books that much more enticing.
Knickerbocker Glories during her first film viewing tonight!
