While there wasn't a lot of surprising information, it was interesting to hear Thompson's perspective and anecdotes about his own creative process. He gave me some good ideas about mentorship and introduced me to a bunch of new musicians.

The audiobook is a fun listen, though he has a penchant for corny puns and they come off as high-level dad-jokes when he reads them himself. I didn't mind, but some might.
