Fascinating look at some very complicated memories, beautifully told. I don't quite feel like I *get* this book entirely - and I feel like that might be because I've never read Ulysses, or half of the other books Bechdel draws parallels to - but all that means is I've a longer reading list now. It doesn't help that this novel doesn't really have a conclusion, and that's rather the point, so perhaps all I'm missing is something that's supposed to be missed?
