I love love loved this book! A plus-size protagonist but absolutely not fat phobia or body-shaming, a hot neighbor, a PhD candidate… It was everything I could want and more! Note that the main character is grappling with the death of her estranged father (there’s not a ton of that but it is present), and don’t worry - it’s very much contemporary romance and not at all spooky or scary, even though the protagonist is obsessed with (and writing a dissertation about) true crime.
Highly highly recommend!
