I'm not sure what I think of this book. I'm leaning towards 'I liked it, but...'.
The writing was beautiful, the magic in the world was excellent and the story itself was exquisite.
However, it had short, choppy chapters that jumped between points and characters - for me, I find that keeps throwing me out of the story. The majority of the book was very slow-paced, right up to the point where everything came together and then it sped up, powered through and was done. It's just not a storytelling style that works for me.
