This novel follows the main character as she rotates through jobs, trying to find one that doesn't trigger her work burnout. Each job builds one a different aspect of her burnout syndrome (though this isn't obvious until the end of the book). In many ways, this feels like a book that I needed to read in 2021, after the years of the pandemic, because it has the character working through the same struggles and bind that I feel myself in. The final, fantastic section offers (what I think) is a great resolution, especially when talking about the exhaustion suffered in caring professions.
