I hated this book. My gosh I only finished for the cringe factor. It was like it was written in 1985 the way the tropes and gender roles played out (my gosh the way he had ZERO consent to just keep touching her and calling her sweetheart. And she loved it! Dear god). I am so disgusted with ally Carter and with library journal who gave her a starred review. The mystery aspect almost redeemed an otherwise ridiculous premise but ugh even that was shaky at best. Knives out references are grossly overplayed.
