Rereading this was so great. I recognised a lot of clues that I didn’t see the first time around which was so fun. Like when Mal shouted “The sun can once more shine!” about Alina smiling in the beginning right before they went into the Fold and everything changed… omg.

I felt like I appreciated Mal more this time when I wasn’t as charmed by the Darkling as before (yes I’m still not completely free from him, don’t judge me you know you aren’t either). The entire “I’m sorry it took me so long to see you, Alina. But I see you now” part BROKE me, I’m so glad they found their way back to each other because they both missed each other so much.

But my favourite character is still ALINA !!! She is so FUNNY and STRONG and COMPLEX, I can’t wait to start my Siege and Storm reread so I can experience her post-amplifier story and growth again. I love her so much.
