Honeysuckle Season by Mary Ellen Taylor
4.0
Great summer family saga book, one of those that you can’t put down/turn off. I’m a bit torn as I wanted more Sadie, felt she deserved more center stage on who she became, who she was away from all the BS. But I understand with family sagas that’s often how it goes.
Stories like this really hit home on how incredibly different life was for women ages past, how much has changed yet how much stays the same…
As before, it’s a great summer read, there’s lot’s one will wish could have been extended on, some missing threads to make one actually care about some characters, and other characters that your mind will want to create its stories about. My 4 star happened on the last few pages…Sadie
