What If?: Serious Scientific Answers to Absurd Hypothetical Questions by Randall Munroe
informative
lighthearted
medium-paced
3.0
My 25th book finished in 2023.
This book was given to me by my friend Stewart before I left the UK. I read it on my Caribbean cruise between stops in Florida, the Bahamas and Puerto Rico. I left it in a hostel in Miami Beach.
What if? What if the author actually answered interesting questions? Most of the time, I have to ask "why?". Why would anybody care to ask the question in the first place. Sometimes the author completely over explains something, and then skips over other stuff I don't understand.
Annoyingly, some of the most interesting questions were not even answered, and just used as jokes in cartoons.
Overall, it was disappointing, but I don't regret reading it.
