On a mission to whittle down my tbr, I decided to listen to the audio version of this book which I got from a little free library. I have never read a Jodi Picoult book as she just didn't seem like the type of writing I would be into. However, having read so many rave reviews of her work, I thought I'd give it a go.

36 mins in and I'm giving up. After 15 mins I was already not very into it. However, I thought I'd persevere. Charlotte was already annoying me by the end of the prologue. So I read a few reviews, both a 1 and a 5 star and have decided that it really isn't for me.

It's a bit like Me Before You type of thing where I just cannot stand the decisions the characters make. Sure it may be human and possible, but I don't read to get super annoyed. I don't mind being angry now and then but not right from the get go. Reading a few spoilers confirmed how I would feel by the end and I just don't have the time to read something I most probably won't enjoy.
