I don’t totally get the hype. Don’t get me wrong, the story was worth reading and the message is very important and needed. But I felt like the boo was kind of slow most of the time. I got the feeling that nothing really happened.

Lily’s story was very captivating and I enjoyed watching her grow as a person. I started liking the story more once it passed 50%.

In my opinion the diary entries ruined the first half of the book for me. I wasn’t a fan of the Ellen thing.

All in all the book was good and it brought up an important topic but I’m not sure Hoover books are for me.
