This was not one of the best in the series but it was still good. I appreciate how each book in this series expands the world-building and we learn what's going on with each group (psy, changeling and humans) and the relevant players and what plans are being set into motion. In this book, in particular, I felt that there were more perspectives and the macro-plot moved further along.
I liked Dorian, he was struggling so much with the guilt of falling in love with a Psy after what happened to his sister, and sometimes his reactions and his attitudes towards Ashaya weren't the best. He does move past that, but at the start, he was definitely not the most swoony hero, which is why I didn't enjoy this book as much as others. I really liked Ashaya as a character, and everything she did to protect her child. And the relationship they both had with Keenan was so special.
I didn't love the twin storyline and I'm not sure if it was completely necessary for the story.
