The Wisdom of Wilderness by Gerald G. May

emotional hopeful inspiring reflective slow-paced

5.0

This is a powerful and intimate look at experiences in wilderness during a few years in the 1990s of May's life. He really lays out the happenings and his perceptions during this time. I think this book is a must for those of us who have read a lot of May's work. I have received so much in his writings and was deeply touched by his telling of such personal experiences in this book. With it he gives us his parting wisdom on something we very much need in our time. I would think that if this is the first book someone reads by May, it would lead to a desire to look for his earlier work. I encourage you to do so.
