The last time I read this I was 5 years old. Wells was my first favorite writer, and continued to be my favorite until my discovery of Poe a few years later.
I had quite forgotten (or perhaps I never recognized, as a child) how comedic The Invisible Man is. It's almost as though it was written to be adapted by James Whale.
