The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins

I volunteer to be Sejanus Plinth's only friend.

Now that I've gotten that off my chest, onto the review...

Part one was beautiful. I was completely drawn in.

Part two was even better, somehow.

Part three is where it lost me. The first half was pretty much just extremely boring separated by segments of heartwrenching sadness. Coryo seemed to have lost his oomph, and I'd definitely lost my motivation to keep reading. I think some of my tears came from wondering when the boredom would end.

Then it did. Oh man, it did. I think my supper tried to make a reappearance out of sheer excitement during the so-called
Spoiler"private Hunger Games"
scene. Holy cow! And just like that, Coryo retrieved his oomph. It was beautiful, spectacular, showstopping, and every other adjective of the like. I forgive Suzanne Collins for putting me through the boredom. It was worth it for that.

And not to cause an uproar, but I’m about to say it. I sympathized with Coriolanus Snow.

As a final note, please write me a prequel about Haymitch. I would forever appreciate it.
