I'm not sure what I missed. I'm not sure if my expectations were normal/standard. I'm not sure this is/was the right time in my life to have read this book. I am pretty sure it was far too long with much to much extraneous mythologizing and I cried uncle on page 300-something, after they lost one of the does to the bridge or something. Then I tried again and just could not make myself care enough not to do anything else. I literally went and cleaned out the refrigerator for the sense of accomplishment. I'll try again in 10 years. You are welcome and encouraged to tell me where, how, why, and to what extent I am wrong.
