To Be or Not To Be: A Chooseable-Path Adventure by Ryan North

5.0

I was so excited to find this book, after absolutely loving [b:Romeo and/or Juliet: A Chooseable-Path Adventure|27209455|Romeo and/or Juliet A Chooseable-Path Adventure|Ryan North|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1453225664l/27209455._SX50_.jpg|47250944]. Ryan North's chooseable-path adventure for Hamlet is equally quirky and delightful, especially if you're ok with some loving snark at the plot holes and sexism in the play. Ever thought, "Ophelia deserved better"? You can make sure she has a happy ending, or at least a badass one. Ever want to talk Hamlet's dad out of revenge? You can do that too! Ever thought, "Hamlet is cool and all, but there aren't enough pirates"? You're in luck!

There's even a chooseable-path adventure of the Murder of Gonzago within the main book, so you can get really meta. There's an art page for each possible ending (and there are a lot) and it makes you want to keep going back to choose a different path and figure out how you get to those points. Definitely played it through several times, including a few more times than I thought would be possible playing as Hamlet's ghost dad.
