Two is a Lie by Pam Godwin

2.0

Guess who stayed up way past her bedtime to finish two books in 4 hrs?

That loss of rest was not worth it. I found myself skimming through most of it. I devoured both this and the last book but that's because I just wanted to see how it ended.

The second was the inevitable undecissive Danni. Cole came back but Trace and her just started. I feel so much remorse for both relationships, three actually cause Trace and Cole are were BFFS. We already knew from the first book that Danni loved Cole intensely and loyally but she had all the right to move on. It was 3 years of absence all along.

What I hated was how instant her feelings for Cole revived. I understand, I truly do, her undying love for him. But she already moved on. She grieved and let go, but Cole's comeback just brought her back to step one. Now she's in love with both men and for the life of her, none of them wants to give her up. So by her sister's coaxing, again, she gave both men her decision - to date them both at the same time but with no sex involved.

Worst fucking idea, Danni. And she knew it too. But she's thinking of herself for once, like her sister said.
Well, see where that took her?

As predicted, it didn't go well. You could from the start it won't be fair to both men. But she is thinking of herself, for once. She knew how unfair it would be, too. She would go work at Trace's casino at night go home to her house where Cole is, if she goes home at all. Frustrating. Love triangles are exhausting to read.

She ensued the "no-sex-while-I-try-to-choose-between-ya'll" rule but even her pussy can't stop drooling with a mere memory while one of them just simply stands here. So of course, the rule was broken. There was jealousy but my initial thought of her being strong shattered. She weak, AF. She can't make up her mind. She gets distracted by their sexiness and just fuck... I don't know, Danni. You must be really special.

If I were here and that happened this happened to me - who am I kidding? I probably just noped out of the situation and found somebody else instead.

When I said I was Team Trace - I stand by it. She had more emotions for this dude and I felt their connection more. I don't have anything else to say. This book just bounced back from Trace and Cole until closer to the end where she just drops them both after finding out something. Still hated that tiny part of the story but it's what the third book pretty much has as foundation to keep torturing readers.

It was an okay read. Half of it was necessary for the 3rd book but it didnt' honestly have to be that long. Nevermind that I read it in less than 2 hours because this was me the entire time:
