Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay

4.0

This was a compelling and heartbreaking novel that told the stories of Sarah and Julia. Julia, an American journalist living in Paris in 2002, uncovered Sarah's story while researching an article on the July 1942 Velodrome d'Hiver round-up of over 10,000 Jews in Paris who were deported to concentration camps. I could not put this book down. Sarah and especially her brother Michel (as he was the same age as my youngest son) will stay with me forever.
