You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle
5.0
I gave this book a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
This couple and this story was beautiful. This book was full of all of what I want in a romance story. All the angst and yearning and banter and everything!
I loved our two main characters, Naomi and Nicholas, and their dynamic and journey to finding each other again.
The author did a good job of really putting us in the perspective of Naomi and how she sees the people around her and especially her relationship with Nicholas. I loved how this love story was told as a second chance romance, even though the characters are in a romantic relationship. I loved that both of our characters are flawed and had some issues they had to work through to make themselves better as well as their relationship.
However, I only gave this a 4.5 and not a 5 is because I think this story would’ve been better with alternating perspectives from both Naomi and Nicholas because it sometimes seems one-sided. We get to see how Nicholas feels but only in how much Naomi understands. It would’ve a more well rounded story if we could really look into Nicholas’s mind.
Also I would’ve liked more sexy times! Like... I needed it.
All in all, I’ve really fell in love with this book and I’m definitely going to be purchasing a copy for myself!
