Killing the Indian Maiden: Images of Native American Women in Film by M. Elise Marubbio

5.0

A must have for those interested in looking at the representations of women in film, more specifically, Native women. This is a well-researched piece that is insightful and holds Hollywood accountable for some of its biggest errors.

You'll notice some pud gave this book one star for being "repetitive" but this comes from common themes that Hollywood used over, over, over in films and so it is discussed at different areas. After all, some things need to be said more than once to get the point across. The text itself is NOT "repetitive" but is actually on-point.
