This was a beautifully crafted world and creative retelling of snow white with a mix of robin hood.
It had that classic fairytale feel with swoony moments, good v evil, handsome hero rescuing the princess, evil stepmother... all combined with twists, banter, adventure, and sassy characters.
The flow of this story is great and you're pulled along for the epic ride of uncovering secrets, academy of thieves, battling enemies, lush worldbuilding, elemental magic, and seeing the steamy enemy to lover romance bloom between Penn and Liliath.
I thoroughly enjoyed this journey, adored the characters and seeing their growth throughout the story, and loved all the nods to fairytales and the HEA.

The main plot also has multiple undercurrents setting the scenes for future books and looks set to be an intriguing adventure series exploring the other courts and gearing up to face the shadowy threat to all Kingdoms.
