i got back into reading about a year ago now and have had the honor of reading some amazing books in that year. this has probably been my favorite of all of them. i’ve seen other reviewers call it a masterpiece and wholeheartedly agree. this was the perfect book.

from the pacing, to the character arcs, to the world, to the magic, to the emotion and the story telling, i was gripped from the very start all the way through. i told my friends it was like the best parts of naruto, ATLA, bleach and epic fantasy all bound into one. i found myself smiling and cheering and sobbing.
