The Making of the President, 1960: The Landmark Political Series by Theodore H. White
4.0
nteresting book precisely because it is so dated, with the author still full of the era's misconceptions and illusions about the presidency. Pure uncut myth-making.
It's also interesting as a contemporaneous account of the concerns and interests at the timeāand one of the few notable Kennedy books unclouded by his ultimate demise. But yeah, take everything with a huge grain of salt and definitely don't read this as your first book on JFK.
