Once Upon a Time in Hollywood by Quentin Tarantino
4.0
I actually hadn’t seen “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” until I was about to read the novel. I felt like I should watch it before I read the book, and I’m glad I did. You don’t need to though. The stories differ in ways I didn’t expect, but that I enjoy. I liked the book much more than I expected to, honestly. I liked Cliff in the movie, but I like him even more in the book. Same with Rick. I guess having more of the story will do that. Tarantino’s writing style made for a quick, enjoyable read. He doesn’t follow a 100% linear path, and I like that. I’m also now fascinated with this time period, and with how he created this whole world based on real people, real events, and real movies. Heck, I’d read a sequel.
