Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman
4.0
This didn't necessarily elicit the emotional reaction in me that I normally hope to get from Neil Gaiman's books, and that would normally warrant a 5-star read, but it's also just a different kind of book that did what it set out to do. I also enjoyed it more when I read the second half on audio, maybe because these are the kinds of stories that were always meant to be told aloud. Gaiman's writing is beautiful and lyrical as ever. My favourite stories were "The Master Builder," "Freya's Unusual Wedding," "Thor's Journey to the Land of Giants," "The Death of Balder," and maybe especially the final epilogue section in "Ragnarok."
