Sweet Ride by Cathryn Fox
3.0
I received an eARC of the book via netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Actual Rating 2.5 Stars
This is the third book in a series, and I felt lost at the start! I loved the idea that I gleaned from the blurb, but I have to say, I was lost!
And while it took me a while to get into the swing of things, I still loved reading about Jag and Alix – the fact that they could have been and yet lost their chance is a heart warming story – but sadly, it is too short and instant to make an impact! I did love the writing style of this author – and I do wish she had given this book a lot more attention than it got! It could have been an explosive book!
Understanding Jag’s attitude, made it a little bit easier to like him in such a short time, yes, but falling in love so soon and so fast even with the backdrop of their history – which I must say was explained quite nicely – still was a hard pill to swallow.
Ms. Cathryn is a really good writer, but she tends to rush into things – at least she did in this one – and the promise of an explosive plotline just fell absolutely flat!
