I have to admit, I don't understand the Formula 1 zeitgeist. But I figured I'd give it a try with the romance between two team mates. Again I cannot comment on the accuracy of literally any of the technical things. I will say this book was fine, but I didn't love it. I didn't really like either of the main characters and definitely didn't buy the transition to romance between them. Plus I fully hated that the first kiss takes place where one is so intoxicated he couldn't remember the name of his hotel (consent is sexy kids!). It also felt like the author was going to expand on certain plot points (a friendship that was changing/becoming secretive, a complicated father son relationship, a character transitioning from journalist to team management) but they never seemed to go anywhere? It ended up feeling like they were padding the plot so make the book longer.
