A short, slice-of-life story told from the perspective of an orphaned ten-year-old girl who has to adjust to navigating her life around her new step-mother.
I wish we had seen Clover interact with more of the characters instead of just thinking about them or telling stories about them. No one seemed all that concerned over the fact that Clover was orphaned and that Sarah Kate was widowed by the car accident.
It's a mediocre book. Iām not to proud to admit that I finished reading just for the sake of adding to my book tally for the year š
