Honestlyyyyy I feel like if fantasy just had a heroine over the age of 30 then strategy would be more heavily involved instead of all of them blindly obeying their abusive and weird fathers???....Additionally, sorryyyyy but like the main "dude" told you what he was in the beginning (A DEMON) and you're still like yOu LiEd tO mE?!?! Girl. Come ONNNN. 

Still, this book was packed with action from the start and kept me invested. This is a dark romance and is not for everyone - although as someone who doesn't read a lot of dark romance, or enjoys it, I think this was bearable. Honestly, the ending gets so many rave reviews, but I was just overall so confused until the very last bit. Sometimes that really frustrates me in novels and I was like JUST GET TO IT! However, overall, this was a decent read and I may read the next one since this ended on such a cliffhanger with just a bunch of information thrown at you. 

I feel like I try to weave in what novels are about in my reviews, buuuut I feel like this is a complicated one. It's worth a read to figure it out.
