I had high expectations for 'The Last of August', but it ended up having a lack of clarity and overall being a confusing read. Though this may be because I lost concentration after long periods of reading, the plot was incredibly convoluted, and I could barely follow along. Maybe this is because the author began adding a lot of significance to once unimportant characters, but it took a while for me to grow accustomed to the large amount of characters.

However, the series so far is great, and I look forward to reading the rest of it!
