This book was fantastic! The premise of this book gripped my attention immediately, and I couldn’t stop listening. In 2044, Wade Watts lives in poverty and escapes his real-world reality by entering the virtual utopia known as the OASIS. The OASIS is where students attend classes and interact with each other. Wade is bored with school and is instead devoting his time to solving the creator’s puzzles to receive the promised ultimate reward of fortune and control of the OASIS. This is a broad summary because I don’t want to spoil anything! I swear, this book is one you wish to experience via the audiobook or do a combination listen/read.
I have not watched the movie yet because I heard the creators changed the plot slightly. I still intend to watch it because I loved the idea of this novel so much.
