4.0

I had no problems with Hazel as a main characters and I was fooled by the red herrings.
There aren’t any specific issues with this book but I don’t feel like it’s 5 stars for some reason. Maybe there were too many mysteries going on — it all came together in the end but thinking back on it Hazel was trying to piece together a hell of a lot of things.
the death of the first wife, her mom’s disappearance, the note on the fridge, the random break-ins, the two cars, Jamie’s missing, who’s been in her house… and more. It felt like too much

I’m glad that
Nico was a good guy all a long. Having him behind any of it felt like a lazy choice
