The Maid by Nita Prose
medium-paced
3.0

The more I read this story, the more I understood the author's real purpose. “The Maid” is a thriller whose main focus is not on resolving who killed the victim, but on developing the main character. The book is narrated through Molly and her lack of social skills is highlighted. Her awkwardness is present in her actions, comments and thoughts. Likewise, the constant presence of her deceased grandmother with phrases that she taught her when she was alive gives that touch of family and mourning. I don't know if I'll read the second one she's about to release, but I don't rule it out.
